The scale of the battle to save the city is massive. Watching the Oniwabanshu and the local Kyoto forces scramble while the fire spreads was intense. The moment the Purgatory was revealed on the water changed the whole vibe; Shishio really had everyone fooled.

This episode was intense because the emotional tension and battle tension were both rising together. There were huge rescue moments around the city, and Shishio’s plan almost worked too. Hahahaha everybody was really giving it everything here.
