An interesting premise. The premiere throws viewers into an intentionally absurd world with plenty of energy and style. Remains to be seen whether the show can keep that momentum, but the brisk pace and sheer amount of new concepts for the first episode carried its momentum.
The episode is mix of jokes, science and action. The right amount of energy to keep the user interested. The art color makes the the episode bit dull but direction keeps one hanging throughout.
The premiere episode of Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo is a highly refreshing burst of energy! This anime takes on a unique dystopian premise, where a rigid alternative world bans and oppresses otaku culture (anime, manga, idols, games). This is where the fun begins. Episode 1 successfully introduces its world with a fast-paced, colorful tempo, and is completely unapologetic about showing off its madness.
