The guts of the writers for doing that, to the main character no less, in a finale of a show who is prominently known for avoiding such scenario. I give my immense respect for that decision, especially because it melded well with the narrative while still maintaining the tone of the series that made it so unique in the first place. And speaking of, it ends exactly as intended with a bit of teaser for the next chapter of the story. Overall, this was a fun watch; great art style and animation that keeps improving over time, the music is nice and voice acting was really good. But one thing that this show does the best is not stray off the story arcs it established in earlier episodes and there's always a conclusion for every plot element they introduce. What an enjoyable ride, really hoping for more of this in the future.
