The story shifts back toward the main conflict while introducing a more emotional atmosphere. It spent more time on the characters.

The plot is getting interesting. There's rooster family internal conflict here. A good demon suddenly became a bad demon. Like, what's going on? Those events are explained in this episode!

Keisuke kau logikanya dimana, hah? Minta tolong kok gitu? Wkwkwk
Style dia keren banget btw. Penilaian agak turun karena memang pilihan perkenalan Keisuke yang terkesan memaksakan dan jadinya beberapa logika dikesampingkan dalam hal meminta bantuan orang lain. Tapi di satu sisi ini anime superhero ayam. Hahahah

Keiji's sharp movements feel so kinetic and heavy, making every single peck and wing slap land with massive weight.

Es un episodio que acelera la trama y nos muestra más del origen de Keiji, el mundo de este anime se expande introduciendo nuevas subtramas para el futuro, enemigos y personajes nuevos. Fue mucha información de golpe, pero estuvo bien narrada.

Completely changes Rooster Fighter’s vibe. What started as an absurd rooster comedy suddenly turns into dark family drama and demon conspiracy lore. Keisuke steals the episode hard, and the reveal about the Devils genuinely raises the stakes. Weird, emotional, and intense. Now, you want to watch this anime more!

the voice acting this episode was incredibly good. seeing all the family drama unfold makes me feel so bad for keiji. if my dad abandoned me just to go start a whole new family, i would absolutely despise him too.

this episode serves primarily as narrative exposition, expanding on keiji's lineage and the overarching mystery surrounding the devils. while it is essentially just build-up, the execution is solid and the cliffhanger effectively ensures viewer retention.

Elizabeth is such a cool addition to the group because she actually has a brain, plus that tactical harness she wears looks awesome against her black feathers

I felt so bad for Keiji when that flashback showed his mother freezing in the snow while Oujou was just gone and now his cold attitude makes total sense

Oujou getting captured by a guy with a Gatling gun arm was actually brutal and it really set the stakes for Keisuke finding his brother

That news report showing Morio destroying the city was devastating and it sucks knowing he is just a brainwashed puppet for those weird human villains now

Watching the flashback where the mother bird froze to death in the snow while Oujou was just gone really explains why Keiji is such a jerk to everyone he meets

I hated seeing Keiji just blast his own brother like that after everything Keisuke went through to find him and his Shinpagen move looked brutal on screen

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off 'Crowing over a Feather,' which pushed Keiji's resolve to its limits, this episode pivots toward the personal bonds at the heart of the series — specifically the relationship between Keiji and Morio. It represents a clear emotional escalation before the story broadens again in the follow-up episode 'Gone to the Birds,' which shifts focus toward larger-scale threats. Episode 8 functions as a meaningful character checkpoint mid-season, grounding the larger conflict in something intimate before the stakes widen.
