Romance is in the Flash of the Sword II

Synopsis
By day a restaurant owner, by night a thief targeting corrupt nobles, Keith carries on his father's legacy as the legendary Shadow Blade. It's a solid setup for a fantasy action-comedy, and the show leans into it with a group dynamic that actually works. When a noblewoman named Elfarcia mistakes Keith for a divine messenger and begs him to recover her family's stolen heirloom, the Silver Rainbow, he gets pulled into something much messier than a simple retrieval job. Joining them are Vanessa, a ruins investigator with her own agenda, and Rycure, their guide through the chaos. The early episodes do a decent job balancing comedic misunderstandings with genuine adventure stakes — Keith is likably reluctant, and the ensemble has enough friction to keep things interesting. Being an OVA adaptation of a visual novel, it carries that mid-2000s fantasy RPG energy: swords, mysteries, layered character relationships, and world-building that feels lived-in without being overwhelming. If you enjoyed the fantasy-adventure tone of Izumo: Takeki Tsurugi no Senki or God of Death OP, this sits in similar territory. Fair warning though — this is a hentai OVA, so adult content is part of the package alongside the action and story. Six episodes, produced by Arms in 2001. Worth a look if you want something that actually tries to tell a story around its genre elements rather than skipping straight past them.
