Hachi's innocent personality makes the episode both funny and enjoyable. I like how every stop on their journey comes with a small lesson or realization. Even with the pace of the story, it still manages to give meaningful moments along the way.
The episode fully embraces the series' willingness to be ridiculous. The journey takes Robby and Hatchi to a remote world where they encounter merfolk, leading to some of the strangest situations yet. The episode feels like a parody of fantasy and adventure anime while still maintaining the sci-fi travel framework established earlier. The humor is constant, but what makes it work is how seriously the characters react to the insanity around them. Robby continues to serve as the perfect straight man, while Hatchi adapts to every bizarre situation as if it were completely normal. The visuals are particularly colorful here, helping the unique setting stand out from previous locations. While not a major plot-heavy episode, it succeeds as a fun detour that showcases the creativity of the show's universe and reinforces why the central duo works so well together.
