Not even an exchange of words talk about an intense fight that didn't even last long, yet had the weight of the world crashing upon that decisive moment in time. I understand it's just the betrayals come a little to easy for this guy, I'm sure he'd kill his teammates if need be, I wonder if he saved Akane more so than his former teammate in actuality. He even pulled the old cliche lines on Kotori to keep her away from danger he could have called her ugly and threw a rock to get the point across even faster (feels like I said this for another anime hmph, deja vu), thought she was smart enough to see through that ruse. With the conflict coming to a head it is now or never for Kotarou to implement his plan to save mankind.
