Fresh out of medical school, Shuji gets assigned to Kiyosato Hospital — the same place where his father died on the operating table nearly a decade ago. That's not a coincidence. That's a mission. Almost everyone who might have answers is either gone or not talking — and the doctor who performed the fatal surgery is now the assistant director of the very hospital Shuji reports to. It gets messier: Shuji's ex-girlfriend Misako is now married to that same doctor, under circumstances that feel off. So you've got a guy walking into a workplace where his boss might be responsible for his father's death, his ex is now that boss's wife, and nobody's exactly eager to revisit old wounds. The hospital setting keeps things tense throughout — there's a claustrophobic, secrets-behind-closed-doors atmosphere that works well for the kind of slow-burn investigation Shuji is running. If you've watched Yakin Byoutou or Shin Ringetsu and appreciated when adult anime actually tries to build a story around its content, this scratches a similar itch. It's a 2-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, so it moves quickly and doesn't overstay its welcome. The personal vendetta angle gives it more weight than you'd expect going in.
