that talk show host was asking way too many personal questions and i was getting so nervous for ren

the way kyouhei had to help ren with that wardrobe malfunction behind the stage was way too much for one episode

i love how kyouhei tries to be professional as an assistant but they still end up bickering like kids in that tiny apartment

ren almost slipped up in front of the talk show host and nearly ruined everything right then and there

seeing ren switch from that cool idol persona to being a total brat the second they got in the car was hilarious

the scene in the back of the car was so stressful, because ren was way too close to kyouhei with the driver right there

Hina is being way too pushy about their past relationship and I hate that she is taking advantage of Ren being gone
edward_wong_178's avatar

I was yelling at my screen when Hina suggested they get back together, because it is so obvious Kyohei is still hung up on Arisugawa
getsuga_tensho_463's avatar
getsuga_tensho_463
Hina really crossed a line this time by refusing to leave the apartment right after Kyohei was told he is no longer an attendant for Ren. It is so frustrating to see her push for a relationship he clearly is not ready for while he is still distracted by Ren. The drama is building up fast and she is being unfair

It was actually painful to see Kyohei get pressured by his ex while he is worried about Ren and Hina needs to take a hint
giacomo_357's avatar

Hina is so manipulative for trying to restart things the second Ren walks out that door and Kyohei deserves better

Kyohei looks so stressed out with Hina refusing to leave his place and he is clearly still just thinking about Ren

I felt terrible when Kyohei was told he did not need to be an attendant anymore and then Hina tried to stay over

Ren leaving the apartment felt so wrong, especially since Hina is just using that moment to jump back into Kyohei's life

I can not believe Hina just moved herself into his apartment and told him he no longer needs to work as an attendant

Hina trying to force Kyohei back into a relationship while Ren is gone makes me so mad and she needs to leave him alone

The anime just turned Eiji into a total klutz and skipped all the best Rin moments just to get to the drama
sailor_pluto's avatar

Rin flailing about the New Year rice cakes made me laugh because her chaotic personality is the only thing keeping me interested right now

Everything feels way too fast, and cutting the real confession basically ruins the emotional payoff for this entire arc with Rin

Hina pressuring Kyohei back into a relationship while he is thinking about Ren makes for some really messy drama at least

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned as the penultimate episode of an eight-episode series, Episode 7 arrives in the wake of Ren's departure — a turning point that reframes everything that follows. With Hina stepping into the emotional void Ren leaves behind, this episode functions as the series' tension peak before the finale. Episode 8 will need to resolve what Episode 7 carefully, deliberately unsettles.
