i was literally holding my breath when that producer walked into the dressing room without knocking and Kyouhei had to jump in front of the door like a lunatic it was so funny but also stressful as hell and seeing Ren get all flustered afterwards made me think she definitely has a crush on him even if he is her cousin

Ren in that suit was a whole different look and the way she handles those fans is so impressive

why is Kyouhei so useless as an assistant he just stands there while Ren does everything and that whole scene with the lost earring was way too long
hollow_ichigo's avatar
hollow_ichigo
seeing Ren in that wig was hilarious because she looks like a different person and Kyouhei was panicking the whole time over that one manager

the plot is moving kind of slow but the scene at the idol house was decent and nobody even notices her voice is a girls voice
lugia_305's avatar

Ren almost tripping and Kyouhei grabbing her like that in front of the cameras was way too close and the fans were totally freaking out over it

that mean girl attitude Momoka showed in the dressing room is exactly the drama this show needed to keep the idol stuff from getting too stale and Kyohei just keeps failing upward
ganondorf_262's avatar
ganondorf_262
the plot is basically just an excuse to put Kyohei in compromising positions with Ren or Momoka and the writing stays pretty basic but it is fun if you like ecchi

It turns out Momoka is a complete nightmare in her dressing room, which makes her a much better foil for Ren than just being another cute rival

Having Kyohei stay as Ren attendant while they live together in that cramped place is going to lead to so many more accidental walk ins like that Momoka scene
yumichika_peacock_469's avatar
yumichika_peacock_469
Momoka being such a brat in private was the highlight for me because I was getting bored of her being so sweet and now Kyohei has two girls with huge secrets to deal with while trying to stay sane in that tiny apartment and keep his job as an attendant and the fan service is getting way more intense
nicol_ascart_166's avatar
nicol_ascart_166
you can definitely tell this is one of those late night monk frame shows with how they handle the scenes in the apartment and it is pretty obvious they are going for maximum fan service

I think Ren and Kyohei living together is getting way more awkward now that he is her official attendant, especially with how this show handles those fan service scenes

I cannot believe Kyohei just walked into Momoka room and found out she is actually a total jerk and now things are going to get so messy between her and Ren

Moving from that weird ghost mystery to Kyohei seeing Momoka in her dressing room was crazy but her real personality was a huge surprise

That scene where Momoka drops the act because Kyohei stumbled into her dressing room was such a huge change from her idol persona and it makes her way more interesting than before

Kyohei walking into the wrong dressing room is such a classic trope but the fallout with Momoka actually felt pretty fresh for this genre
jackie_jackal_491's avatar
jackie_jackal_491
I was expecting a pretty standard episode, but that scene with Momoka in the dressing room changed everything and seeing her sweet idol persona just vanish into something way more aggressive was a huge twist and it makes me think Kyohei is in way over his head because he cannot keep himself out of trouble and walking into a dressing room like that is going to get him fired eventually
mikasa_ackerman's avatar

Watching the transition from sweet Momoka to her real self was wild and it made the whole backstage drama feel much more interesting
fubuki_blizzard_119's avatar
fubuki_blizzard_119
This idol world seems way more chaotic now that Momoka is revealed to be a secret brat and Kyohei is definitely not qualified to be an assistant if he keeps making mistakes like that

EPISODE CONTEXT

Landing at the midpoint of the eight-episode run, this episode follows the lighter ghost-incident detour of Episode 3 and marks a pivot toward expanding the cast and raising the stakes around Ren's concealed identity. Momoka's introduction signals that the series is broadening its scope beyond the central duo, planting seeds for the character conflicts and complications that the second half will need to resolve.
