Release the Spyce

Pretty satisfying finale honestly. I came in expecting cute girls doing spy missions and somehow ended up genuinely attached to this squad. The ending focuses on exactly what it should, and it wraps everything up in a way that just feels right. Good stuff.

This episode barely gives you time to breathe. It feels like everyone's been building toward this point, and the pacing just keeps moving. I like that the whole cast still gets moments to contribute instead of making it all about one person.

Man... you can feel the "okay we're entering the endgame" energy almost immediately. The atmosphere gets way heavier, everyone feels more on edge, and I was just sitting there thinking "this escalated fast." Definitely one of the strongest episodes.

Yeah this one hit different. You finally understand why certain characters are the way they are, and it honestly makes earlier episodes even better in hindsight. The action takes a bit of a backseat, but I didn't even mind because the character writing was cooking.

I always love when anime leaves its usual setting for a bit, and this episode made everything feel bigger. New faces, new mission, fresh scenery, but it still feels like Release the Spyce. Momo's confidence growing little by little has been really satisfying to watch.

This episode is basically the show reminding you that all these girls actually trust each other, and that's what makes the team fun to watch. Hatsume absolutely owns this episode too. Cheesy? Yeah. Did I still eat it up? Also yeah.

I wasn't expecting to get this invested in a backstory, but here we are. This episode gives one of the side characters a lot more depth and suddenly the conflict doesn't feel so black and white anymore. Lowkey one of the more underrated episodes so far.

Okay the vibe definitely changes here. It still has the fun spy stuff, but there's this feeling that the missions aren't just practice anymore. I also liked how Momo keeps improving without suddenly becoming OP. The mentor student chemistry is honestly carrying the show for me.

This was a really great final episode. The moment that stood out to me the most was the emotional scene between Momo and Yuki. Overall, this was a wonderful anime series that I followed all the way to the end. If it gets another season, I’ll definitely watch it.

I thought they were going to lose hope because of everything that happened, but instead they became even more motivated. This was another really good episode. The BGM here was amazing and made the dangerous situations feel even more intense. It really increased the hype and tension. I’m excited to see what happens next.

WTH! Seriously? Did she really betray her friends? I hope not. This episode became much more tense than I expected. I never thought something like this would happen. If someone was going to betray the group, she definitely weren’t the person I suspected.I can’t believe it.

Now that I’ve learned about Yuki’s backstory, I can understand her actions much better. Looking back, I don’t think I can really blame her for the way she behaved toward Momo during their last mission. Knowing what she’s been through adds a lot more context to her decisions and makes her character feel much more relatable. I’m becoming even more excited to see where the story goes from here and what kinds of challenges, developments, and surprises await in the upcoming episodes.

It felt relaxing in some moments, yet there was also a strong sense of tension throughout, along with a few emotional scenes that added depth to the story. I think the pacing continues to be one of the series’ strengths. It's not rushed or dragging on, making each episode enjoyable to watch. What I appreciate most is that every episode contributes something meaningful to the overall narrative. Because of that, the series never feels repetitive or tiring, and it keeps me interested in seeing what happens next.

This episode did a wonderful job of highlighting the strong relationship between an apprentice and their mentor. The trust, respect, and emotional connection between them made the story feel much more meaningful. It was a genuinely emotional episode. I also thought the pacing was handled very well, a heartfelt episode that I enjoyed a lot.

This episode showed the backstory of another character. There wasn’t a lot happening yet, but I still felt nervous because there’s a possibility of betrayal, and both of them could end up getting hurt because of it. We’ll see what happens in the next episode.

This episode focused on another apprentice who is determined to improve, not only for the benefit of the group but also to prove her worth to her mentor. I always enjoy seeing characters work hard to overcome their weaknesses and strive to become stronger. Overall, I thought the episode was good and enjoyable to watch. That said, one thing really caught me off guard the mutant! Haha. It felt so unexpected. It definitely added an extra layer of mystery and made me even more curious about what’s going to happen next.

One of the stronger early character episodes. Fū and Mei's relationship gets enough attention to make them feel like real people instead of support units for Momo. The spy mission itself is fun, but the emotional payoff is what carries the episode. Surprisingly wholesome while still keeping the action moving.

This is where the show starts feeling like more than just cute spy missions. Momo's mistakes become a recurring source of tension instead of comedy, which makes her growth feel earned. The introduction of Moryo gives the story an actual threat, and the team finally starts operating like a proper squad rather than a collection of quirky archetypes.

The classic training episode somehow ends up being way more entertaining than it sounds. Watching Momo struggle through increasingly ridiculous tests gives the cast room to show personality. Yuki starts feeling less like the cool mentor archetype and more like an actual character. Also, the secret base gadgets are pure weeb fuel.

This premiere wastes zero time selling its weirdly fun pitch: schoolgirls, secret agents, and magical Spyce. Momo is immediately a likable lead because she's talented without feeling overpowered. The action is surprisingly slick, and the show balances goofy charm with actual espionage vibes better than I expected. It feels like a Saturday morning spy anime made by people who genuinely love ninja stories.
