Jack the Ripper is so unserious lol. The scenes with Goll and Hercules were wholesome too. The ending was actually beautiful. I also thought it was really cool seeing historical figures like Shakespeare and Doyle show up, that was a nice touch.

In the episode they show us every character´s personality in a detailed way, though is good they make us empathize with them it does takes a lot of time they could use on the plot. The strategy that Jack used to fight was real clever.

This episode is pretty unique because the god acts more like a human, while the human acts more like a villain. It kinda makes you switch who you want to root for in this fight. And in the second half, the fight is also unique and it’s not the usual battle of brute strength, but instead it’s a battle of wits. A must-watch episode!

Episode Context

As the first episode of a ten-episode season, this serves as the launchpad for the fourth round of the Ragnarök tournament, picking up after humanity's surprising victory in the previous season's final bout. It dedicates its runtime to establishing the Heracles vs. Jack the Ripper matchup, prioritizing character setup and thematic groundwork over combat. This foundation is critical for the early stretch of the season, which will explore this morally charged fight before advancing to subsequent rounds.
