Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2 Part 2 Episode 7: The Beginning of the Sanctuary and the Beginning of the End

Oho, now we’re taking a quick look at the other side too, which is great because it helps us understand the entire board we’re playing on. We finally get to see the reasons behind their determination to keep moving forward. Hahaha, what an unlikely group, but all of their interactions are so entertaining. This section lasted much longer than I expected, but it was worth it since it revealed so many details leading to the current situation.

Another lore-heavy episode, and it explained so many things about the Sanctuary. Even though that was the main focus, the highlight for me was definitely the rivalry between Subaru and Roswaal. Roswaal is such a beautifully written villain, and I really appreciate what the author has done with his character.

A dialogue heavy episode with minimal action, there's so many new characters getting introduced but we have yet to discover their relevance to the main plot. Still, I can see where Roswall is coming with his argument. His mirroring aspect with Subaru is a feat of character writing, I didn't expect to see his humanity here.
