This episode really sets up the climax for the final episode. The truth about Kirishima Touko was really interesting, and it connects well to what could happen to Mai and why. I’m really excited to see how this arc will wrap up.

This episode is packed with melancholy. It explores memory, identity, and the fear of being forgotten in a way that feels uniquely Bunny Girl Senpai. The emotional weight keeps building with every scene, and by the end the tension becomes genuinely nerve wracking.

The Kirishima Touko saga is coming to an end, but it still has a lot of loose ends. This episode has exceed my expectations because it was revelation after revelation. And here I was thinking it would be resolved with the airport scene - but that was naive of me.

Episode Context

Coming directly after 'The World Dreams,' where the boundaries between reality and dreams became dangerously thin, 'Reindeer's Work' deepens the central mystery of the Miniskirt Santa while grounding the emotional stakes in Sakuta's personal journey. As episode twelve of thirteen, this is the critical bridge episode, it consolidates the season's themes of identity and societal expectation before handing them off to the finale, 'No Dreams of Santa Claus.' Everything here is structured to make that final episode hit as hard as possible.
