Episode Context

This episode sits at the climax of the martial arts figure skating arc, directly continuing the rivalry with Mikado Sanzenin that was established in the preceding episodes. At episode 26 of 161, Ranma ½ is still in its early stretch of introducing colorful rivals and deepening the core cast dynamics. The story flows directly into episode 27, 'P-Chan Explodes!
