Episode Context

This is the second half of a two-part cheerleading arc, concluding the contest between Ranma and Mariko Konjo that began in Episode 155, 'Bring It On! Love As a Cheerleader, Part I.' Landing at Episode 156 of 161, this sits squarely in the show's final stretch, cycling through standalone martial arts challenge arcs. The resolution here transitions directly into 'The Musical Instruments of Destruction,' continuing the series' pattern of introducing increasingly eccentric fighting disciplines as it approaches its conclusion.
