It's rare that we see a different side of Akechi besides his cold attitude. This episode proved to be a vital episode for the past of Akechi. It's plain simple but also deep. I mean, who would've known the reason about twenty faces right?

The visual effects during the explosion is stuinning, doing a horrific crime scene into a artistic moment. Nevertheless, the transition into the overarching final arc feels a little bit abrupt for me. Writing, again, is a bit messy.
