📖 SYNOPSIS

"Raiyantsuuri no Uta" tells the story of a Chinese laborer forced to work in a Japanese coal mine during World War II. After escaping his captors, he seeks refuge in the vast, uninhabited Japanese countryside. He finds a secluded existence, far removed from any human contact. The isolation is so complete that he remains oblivious to the world outside, including the momentous events unfolding elsewhere. The anime explores themes of isolation, displacement, and the devastating consequences of being disconnected from society and the passage of time. Based on a story by Yoichi Takashi, the narrative promises a poignant exploration of survival and the tragic impact of ignorance.
