EPISODE REVIEWS
The Royal Ball infiltration is tense. Nina confronting Charioce on the balcony is heartbreaking, but Favaro attempting the assassination grounds the reality of the war. MAPPA’s lighting during the escape sequence makes the port trap feel incredibly claustrophobic.
This episode hurts quietly instead of loudly. The emotional distance between characters becomes way more obvious and every interaction feels heavy with things left unsaid. Really strong atmosphere throughout the whole episode.
Nina is still giving me all the feels this episode, seeing her deal with the fallout of the dragon transformation is so intense because she just wants to do what is right. Charioce remains a total enigma but that tension with the Onyx Knights is peaking
