The way Sayu Ayuma has such a specific art style makes it difficult to translate to animation but this first episode really works, and the romance filter bit is definitely the highlight because of how it shifts the lighting and vibe. It actually feels like a legitimate rom-com at times until the actual plot kicks in and then things get way more intense
