I remember thinking this show wasn’t all it was cracked up to be prior to finishing it. The way it portrayed depression and anxiety, themes that hit wayy too close to home. Insane ending and series 💔💔 crazy how they managed to fit in so many arcs in like 12 episodes and still have such a good payoff.

An unbelievably emotional ending this was! I honestly was already tearing up from the start of the episode myself, it's just so heavy yet hopeful. This finale really seals the deal with it's impressive coming together of all the pain points about magical girls, and Madoka's grand wish taking effect. No wonder this show is one of the best in its genre/theme - it truly deserves all the praise.

This episode was absolutely amazing. I loved how the soundtrack made everything feel so uplifting and powerful, especially when Madoka made her wish. It was amazing how we got to see other magical girls, all of their designs looked so amazing. The ending was bittersweet for me.

love how it turns the magical girl concept on its head and turns it into something more dark & twisted; a refreshing take on the genre imo! My head hurt from the insane story tho... still I love the dada-esque aesthetic of the witch labyrinths & the hauntingly beautiful ost!
