First episode in and we already got an intense hostage situation going. It is quite dark and shocking, and the concept for their justice system is unique, and with how it works, you would know that this anime will let you in on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

I felt uneasy the whole time. Akane Tsunemori stepping into this world and that first Dominator judgment really sets the tone. Not action-heavy, more about tension and moral discomfort. Quietly gripping, definitely worth a try.

Such an interesting and solid first episode! First of all, the animation is super cool! Love the details during the night time cityscape. And I also love the concept of their weaponry and also their “justice” system in a sense. Super unique. I also really like the fast-paced story and action packed scenes throughout! Plus the animations with their guns are just superb✨

It starts off with a dark and shocking atmosphere, setting the tone of the series. And the system on here is the god i guess mwahaha. Characters are well animated and i love their design. great first episode.

ok so we get thrown straight into this dystopian world cyber punk. Akane just starting out and already dealing with some heavy stuff. the sibyl system concept alone, intense intro that sets everything up perfectly. so nice

The opening throws Akane Tsunemori straight into the cold logic of the Sibyl System. A hostage situation escalates when a victim’s Psycho Pass spikes, forcing Enforcer Kogami to pull the trigger.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode one of twenty-two, 'Crime Coefficient' is pure foundation — it establishes the rules of the world, the power dynamics between Inspectors and Enforcers, and the moral fault lines that will fracture across the entire season. Akane's first field experience here is deliberately designed to challenge every assumption she holds, setting her on a trajectory of ideological conflict that defines the series. The themes introduced — surveillance, autonomy, and the cost of safety — escalate dramatically in the episodes that follow as the season builds toward its central antagonist and the deeper truths behind the Sibyl System.
