Episode Context

Sitting at episode 66 of 93, this is a critical bridge in the XY season's back half. It follows 'Good Friends, Great Training!' (EP65), where the group regroups and sharpens their focus, and leads directly into 'The Moment of Lumiose Truth!' (EP67), Ash's highly anticipated Gym battle against Clemont, making this investigation an essential piece of narrative groundwork that raises the emotional and dramatic stakes heading into that showdown.
