Episode Context

Sitting at episode 23 of 93, this is a transitional chapter in the Kalos journey, the group has been exploring Ambrette Town since the previous aquarium-focused episode and continues soaking in the region's history. This fossil lab detour deepens the world-building before the narrative shifts gears toward Ash's upcoming Gym battle in Cyllage City, making it a breather that enriches the journey without stalling momentum.
