Episode Context

Sitting at episode 16 of 93, this is a clear filler entry in the early stretch of Pokémon XY, arriving after the character-focused 'An Appetite for Battle!' and before the more action-driven 'A Rush of Ninja Wisdom!' It doesn't advance the main journey in any meaningful way but gives Bonnie rare spotlight development. The episode functions as a palette cleanser between episodes with heavier training and battle themes.
