The battle felt a little clunky at times and the pacing was weird but at least Katy showed why her Ursaring is such a powerhouse against Pagogo

You see Murdock's Lycanroc and it's actually round and it makes the world feel real and different from the usual sleek designs

I watched Liko finally beat a Gym Leader and it felt like such a massive win for her after all that training with Katy and her Ursaring

OMG, Lycanroc looking all chunky from Katy's treats totally cracked me up, I just love how the show makes even the Pokémon get into the sweets. And for Liko to finally snatch a win against Katy? My girl earned that, I was so cheering for her!

Ult totally freezing up when Katy talked to him was comedy gold and his character is such a weird addition to the group in the best way possible

The reaction Ult had when he realized Dot is a girl was actually hilarious and his awkwardness around Katy just made the whole reunion energy even better

That battle with Katy really showed Liko has what it takes now and Pagogo is becoming a beast for winning its first trainer fight against a Gym Leader

It made me happy to see Liko finally beat Katy, even if the animation during that Terapagos fight was looking really rough and clunky compared to what we usually get

Liko winning a gym battle at last was everything I needed after all those losses she took earlier and Terapagos really pulled through for her

Murdock having a fat Lycanroc because it ate too many sweets at the bakery is the funniest thing this show has done in months and it makes the time skip feel real

That moment when Ult realized Dot is a girl was hilarious, especially since he spent the whole time being so awkward and weirdly shy around her afterward

My heart broke a little when Murdock said the Brave Olivine was getting dismantled because that ship was such a huge part of the journey and now they have to find Orla to save it

That chonky Lycanroc is literally the cutest thing in this entire show and seeing it eat all those sweets while Murdock was depressed was absolutely hilarious

That gag with Uruto thinking Dot was a boy the whole time was hilarious and his face when he realized the truth landed perfectly
palla_palla's avatar

It might feel like a setup episode, but Liko getting a real win against a Gym Leader is exactly the kind of progression this series needed to show she is ready for what comes next
bakugo_blast_122's avatar

The way Murdock and Katy interacted felt so sweet, especially when she encouraged him to start flying again after he spent all that time making pastries with his overweight Lycanroc

You can really see how much Liko has matured since the timeskip and her first gym victory against Katy felt like a huge milestone for her character development
xaldin_458's avatar
xaldin_458
Liko winning her match against Katy felt incredible because it shows how far she has come as a trainer since the start and Terapagos looked so cool during the battle plus seeing Murdock's Lycanroc being all chonky and making the stairs creak was the funniest thing ever and I just want to pet that pudgy dog all day and keep him forever
teapot418's avatar

It was a bit weird how Murdock just kind of went along with everything without putting up a fight after they spent the whole episode trying to convince him
gashadokuro_ghoul's avatar
gashadokuro_ghoul
The story for Liko's rematch was great but the actual animation for the battle was pretty disappointing for such a big moment with a legendary pokemon on the field

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the events of 'The Prankster,' this episode marks a critical reassembly point for the core group as they work toward reforming the Rising Volt Tacklers. The reunion in Cortondo solidifies the team's renewed commitment to each other and their shared mission. It directly sets up 'Orla, Grounded,' where the focus shifts to reconnecting with Orla and tackling logistical challenges surrounding the Brave Olivine airship.
