The reveal about Dot being Nidothing was something everyone guessed but it was still cool to see her leave that little note for the team about heading to Paldea

Cap really just stood there and let them struggle while he adjusted his hat and that kind of confidence makes you realize he is such a different leader than Ash's Pikachu

I felt like a big part of the episode was Friede letting Cap handle the training and I really wasn't expecting Dot to be the one who gave the Rayquaza hint

I can't believe how much personality Cap has without saying a single word and watching him absolutely beat Fuecoco and Sprigatito with those double team clones was so cool because it actually felt like he was a veteran trainer partner teaching them a lesson instead of just being a cute mascot like other Pikachu versions usually are in the show

Dot being the streamer Nidothing finally got confirmed and her drawing of Rayquaza at the end makes the next trip to Paldea feel much closer

I got such a kick out of Liko finally piecing together the clone pattern, it felt like she really leveled up her trainer skills right there. And then to see Sprigatito pull off Quick Attack for the first time in an actual fight, my jaw totally dropped!

Cap just effortlessly winning that fight while his hat did all the talking about his mood? I was so surprised at how ridiculously powerful he is, barely even moving a muscle. It really makes me think he's got this super calm facade, but is actually way stronger than he lets on most of the time.

When Sprigatito finally landed that Quick Attack at the very end, I actually cheered out loud! They spent the whole episode getting tossed around by Cap, and my heart just *ached* for them, so watching them pull off that final hit felt like such a huge, well-deserved victory.

Liko figuring out the zigzag movement was great, and the training felt way more real than gym battles used to be

I still cannot believe Dot is actually Nidothing and she was just hiding in the room next door the whole time

It was hilarious how Cap just styled on those kids without even trying

Sprigatito learning quick attack was exactly what Liko needed to get that win over Roy and his Fuecoco and seeing her use that speed felt so good

I suspected it for a while and seeing Dot finally take off the suit to reveal she is Nidothing was such a cool moment because now we know who is hiding in that room

Roy receiving his official Pokedex and both of them joining the crew officially makes the team feel complete

Cap is actually terrifying and seeing him use double team to mess with those two shows how far they have to go before they can actually hold their own against the explorers

Using Leafage as a smokescreen for Tackle showed some real thinking even if Cap just dodged it easily

Dot being Nidothing was a massive surprise, and it makes so much sense why she stays in her room all day. I find the irony of Liko and Roy being huge fans of her stream while she is literally right there too funny. Plus the news about Rayquaza being in Paldea really solidifies where the journey is heading next

Captain Pikachu using Double Team like that is actually terrifying and those two never stood a chance

Finding out Rayquaza is in Paldea already changes everything and keeps the momentum high after the training session

Fuecoco loving spicy food while Sprigatito likes bitter flavors made my day because it makes them feel like actual pets

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly after Episode 6, where Liko and Roy officially cemented their places within the Rising Volt Tacklers, this episode shifts from recruitment into development — a natural narrative pivot that invests in the protagonists' competence before raising the stakes. It functions as a bridge episode, establishing the battling fundamentals and team dynamics that will pay off in the challenges ahead. The training focus here signals that the series is building toward encounters where Liko and Roy will need to stand on their own.
