I can't believe Amethio got kicked out like that just because Spinel is a snake and he finally showed some heart in the cave with Liko

Amethio's redemption arc is finally starting, since Liko actually got through to him while they were stuck in that cave together

That scene where Liko and Amethio finally had a real talk in the cave was everything and it felt so grounded for a pokemon show, hearing them talk about their family expectations made me realize they are basically two sides of the same coin and Spinel is such a snake for using that footage to get him kicked out by Gibeon though but honestly it might be for the best

Grusha showing up to save Roy and Dot felt like a bit of a letdown because they should be stronger by now but at least Liko and Amethio were great in this one

Liko and Amethio talking in that cave actually felt real and they have so much in common with their family stuff and it seems like he might actually leave the explorers for good

My heart broke for Amethio when Gibeon disowned him after everything he did for the explorers and it feels like he has nowhere to go now but the rising volt tacklers

Amethio opening up to Liko about his family goals made him feel way more human than before and he is definitely not as bad as the other Explorers and it really looks like he might switch sides soon

Spinel is actually terrifying for recording them just to get Amethio disowned and he really played everyone in this episode to get what he wanted

I am honestly still reeling from Gibeon kicking Amethio out of the Explorers like that, and Spinel really played him. It was painful to watch but also kind of exciting. Seeing Liko and Amethio bond in the cave felt so natural, and I love how Terapagos reacted when Gibeon was mentioned since it hints at something much darker between them

It actually shocked me when Amethio mentioned Gibeon was his grandfather because it explains why he is so desperate to find Laqua and I hope this leads to him finally leaving the Explorers for good

Watching Terapagos get all angry at Amethio at first was such a surprise, but then it calmed down once they started talking. I thought it was cool to see Liko realize she had to break the academy rules to survive the cave-in because she usually plays everything so safe. It feels like the plot is finally moving somewhere big with the whole Gibeon connection being confirmed.

It was interesting to see Liko and Amethio find common ground while trapped, although the fight with Coral and Sidian felt a bit like it was just stalling for time

Spinel is actually terrifying and the way he just set Amethio up with that recording was so cold and calculated

Amethio getting exiled is such a massive shift and seeing him forced to cooperate with Liko to survive the cave was easily the best part

The way Liko realized there are other paths besides just mastering Terastallization showed so much growth and it was nice to see her stop moping over the Grusha loss

I was totally caught off guard by Spinel recording them in the cave and getting Amethio kicked out of his own group for helping Liko

I honestly think Spinel ruining Amethio and getting him kicked out of the group was such a cruel move and he is definitely the best villain in this show right now

Watching Amethio actually reassure Terapagos was a side of him you never see and it makes the betrayal by his own grandfather hurt even more
miraidon's avatar

Roy and Dot really needed Grusha to save them and it felt like they haven't learned anything since the last battle which is kind of annoying when Liko is doing so much

I still can't believe Liko actually broke the rules and used Terastallization in that cave to get them out and seeing her finally take a risk like that was a big step for her character growth

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following the adversarial collision in Episode 64, this installment pivots hard into forced cooperation between Liko and Amethio, redefining their dynamic from pure antagonism toward something more nuanced. The character revelations and tentative trust built here carry direct consequences into Episode 66, where the fallout from their encounter ripples through events at Naranja Academy. This is a pivotal bridge episode that reshapes alliance dynamics heading into the next phase of the story.
