Watching Liko and Roy handle that tag battle without Friede jumping in felt like a huge win and their strategy with the teamwork and moves was actually impressive for once

Those limited edition Wiglett buns causing a whole battle is the most relatable villain motivation ever and Coral is hilarious for it

I honestly expected a standard filler episode when I saw the Wiglett buns but the battle actually went hard and seeing Fuecoco use actual Flamethrower was so satisfying. Coral is a complete mess and her shouting about the Rayquaza plan right in front of the protagonists was so stupidly funny and then the tension really spiked when that alarm went off

That black Rayquaza alert at the end really shifted the mood and it is cool seeing Friede finally go check out that mysterious tower from the previous episode to stop whatever they are planning

My heart sank when they mentioned summoning Rayquaza at the end, because Liko and Roy are still just getting the hang of things even with that Overgrow boost.

It was wild to see Sprigatito activate Overgrow during that clash with Glalie, and I think Liko is really starting to get the hang of actual battle tactics, instead of just panicking.

The contrast between Coral being a total brat and Sidian being all business makes them a great duo, especially when she leaks the whole Rayquaza plan because she is mad about sweets.

Watching the duo use actual brain cells to coordinate against that Garganacl was such a change of pace and it shows they are finally learning how to handle real threats

I can't believe Coral almost blew a gasket over some Wiglett buns and then nearly wrecked the kids for them. Her energy reminds me so much of the old Team Rocket chaos and it was hilarious

suika_sphere
I was laughing so hard when Coral lost it over the Wiglett sweet buns, because it felt like something a real kid would do. The battle itself actually showed how much Liko and Roy have improved, since they didn't need Friede to bail them out this time. Sprigatito using Overgrow was a nice touch and it makes the Rayquaza cliffhanger even scarier.

Sidian jumping in to make it a two on two match hit me hard because it really showed how outclassed the kids are right now

That Glalie and Garganacl combo was actually intimidating and it forced Roy to think on his feet for once

nekomata_ninja
The way Fuecoco finally used Flamethrower instead of just spamming Ember was huge progress for Roy and the bond with his partner shows in how they handled that Glalie explosion

Sidian is such a stark contrast to how chaotic Coral is and seeing them work together with Garganacl and Glalie was a fun change

It sucks that the battle got cut short by that message from headquarters because Roy and Liko were finally starting to find a rhythm against those high level monsters

That Terastal cap disguise was actually kind of cute and it made the reveal where Coral just lost her mind over bread even better

Coral is such a wild card and her throwing a fit over sea diglett manju was the funniest thing this show has done lately. It feels like the Explorers have actual personality now

Liko standing her ground against a member of the Explorers without needing a pep talk from the adults was the highlight for sure

Friede going off to check out that tower at the end makes you curious about what the Explorers are actually planning on that island

It felt a bit like filler until the very end when they mentioned the tower but Liko and Roy actually holding their own against a Garganacl was a solid moment for them

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Episode 42's focus on new Pokémon encounters and character growth with Palafin, this episode pivots the narrative squarely toward the Explorers' escalating threat. Coral and Sidian's direct challenge to Liko and Roy marks a clear turning point from exploration-focused episodes to conflict-driven storytelling. It serves as essential setup for Episode 44, 'The Plan to Capture Rayquaza,' where the antagonists' schemes take center stage.
