I was not expecting Dot's mom to be such a force of nature, but she really pushed Dot to say what she wants for once. That battle felt like a big turning point for Dot and Quaxly, and I want more of her backstory now. Finding out about Friede's thesis being the thing that got her out of her room was such a nice touch
