Crafting that hammer with the vintage mic showed how much it meant to Tinkatink and it was satisfying to see it finally finish after all that hard work

I was really into the bond between Dot and Tinkatink, and seeing her use her vintage mic for the hammer was such a cool moment. It is great to see her getting more assertive and actually defending her new friend against the accusations about the missing metal, even if the plot felt a bit like a filler episode with no major story progress

Trapping Orthworm in the wet sand was such a smart move and it proved Dot can handle herself in a pinch even when things get chaotic

I was smiling so much when Dot stood up for Tinkatink because she is getting so much more confident these days

Orthworm was just going to town on all that scrap metal, and I was genuinely wondering how they'd stop it; Dot pulling out that water gun trap felt like such a genius move! It totally showed off her strategic brain in battle, and honestly, I love seeing that clever side of her.

Dot getting her second pokemon made me so happy and the fact that it used her old microphone to make its hammer was a nice touch for their bond

When Dot defended Tinkatink with so much heart during the metal theft drama, it showed how her growth since the start of the series is very clear now

Tinkatink basically catching itself by hitting the pokeball was so cute and it fits Dot so well to have a partner that just wants to build stuff with her

You could really see Dot's tactical side when she used the mud trap against Orthworm without needing a huge flashy fight

Everyone on the team having two pokemon now is great and it makes the pacing feel better for the crew even if the metal thief plot was a bit slow

That Orthworm was acting like a total bully and seeing its shocked face when it got stuck in the wet sand was the most satisfying part of the whole episode
tyson_350's avatar

Dot stepping out of her room to solve the mystery of the missing iron shows she is finally becoming a real member of the team and Tinkatink is the perfect partner for her

Tinkatink is such a great addition to the crew, and watching it struggle with its hammer really makes you root for the little thing. Dot taking charge and figuring out how to stop the Orthworm by making it rust was a cool idea that shows her intelligence isn't just for computers. It was a really sweet episode that focused on her learning to protect her new friend

Dot really handled that whole situation without needing Friede or the others and watching her grow into a confident trainer during that fight was great

I thought it was so cool seeing Dot use her brain to beat that Orthworm and using the water to trap it was such a smart move for her

A main character catching a new pokemon without even throwing a ball is such a refreshing change and it makes the bond between Dot and Tinkatink feel a lot more genuine

Tinkatink trying to make its little hammer out of Dot's old microphone was so cute and seeing it finally join the team felt earned after how hard it worked on that metal scrap

Tinkatink is easily the cutest thing ever and seeing it hammer away at that scrap iron just to find the perfect fit was actually so precious

That little pink fairy pokemon is way too adorable with its big hammer and Dot being the one to catch it feels right since she actually appreciates the work it does

Orthworm eyes popping out during the fight was hilarious and the way it kept taunting the poor Tinkatink was such a funny villain moment for a giant metal worm

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the team-oriented adventure in 'The SOS is from Tandemaus?,' this episode pivots to individual character development, zeroing in on Dot's personal growth away from the Rising Volt Tacklers' group missions. It functions as a bridge episode, deepening one of the newer cast members before the story shifts into potentially high-stakes emotional territory with the following episode, 'Farewell, Sprigatito?,' which promises to shake up team dynamics.
