When that Strong Sphere backfired and Swanna actually injured itself, I remember just staring, it felt so much darker than I expected from a Pokémon battle. For me, that moment absolutely cemented why Liko's bond-first approach isn't just about friendship, but about true, sustainable power.

All the teamwork during that fiery battle with Armarouge really highlights how their group dynamic has evolved through this journey

It really bothered me how Iono got tricked into doing those commercials for the Explorers, but at least the Rising Volt Tacklers are finally taking action

Iono acting all cheerful for the camera while promoting a device that probably hurts Pokémon was such a gut punch and seeing the Explorers manipulate the media like that makes them feel like a real threat and the contrast between her bubbly stream and the serious talk with Clavell really shows how high the stakes are for the Rising Volt Tacklers right now

Murdock and Molly casually talking about Pawmo getting chubby while everyone else was stressing over the world ending was hilarious to me

Dash really just wanted her Swanna to prove itself and keep up with everyone else, so seeing that Strong Sphere hit it felt surprisingly harsh for a Pokémon battle. I actually winced a little when Swanna went down, feeling pretty bad for both of them, especially since Dash was trying so hard.

Watching Liko stand her ground when talking to Clavell and Omodaka hit me hard because it shows how much she has grown as a trainer since the start

The choice Liko made to reject that Strongest Sphere was the right call, because a power boost will never replace the real bond she has with Sprigatito

That battle with Sprigatito and Fuecoco looked incredible and the animation during the elemental clashes really made the training feel intense

The suit guy using Iono to sell that sketchy device felt so wrong and those Explorers are definitely pulling the strings from the shadows
atticus_358's avatar

It was so shady how the Explorers used Iono to spread that Strongest Sphere propaganda while the Rising Volt Tacklers had to hide the ship
dankan_dancer_475's avatar

Seeing Swanna in so much pain because of that sphere was awful and I was just glad when Dash finally apologized to her after the match ended

Liko standing her ground and explaining things to Dash showed that her confidence has grown so much since the start of the series

Nemona and Penny joining up with the crew is the best thing to happen this arc and they really belong with the team after everything that went down with the spheres
sanji_savant's avatar

The battle was intense and it was great to see Liko prove that a strong bond beats artificial power boosts every single time without even needing a gimmick

Seeing Iono actually help the Rising Volt Tacklers instead of just selling out for a promotion was a relief and her integrity is way better than I thought it would be

I really felt for Dash when she saw Swanna hurting from that sphere and it was such a wake up call about the bond between them because power is not everything if you lose your friend

The pacing was all over the place since they had to handle the framing story and the new devices and the school stuff all in one go so nothing really got to breathe

thunderblight_ganon_298
That battle was basically a huge psa about the dangers of using shortcuts to get ahead and Swanna refusing to listen to her trainer really drove the point home

Liko winning without her Tera Orb was a huge statement and it really made the Strong Spheres look like a total scam

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows Episode 125's focus on the Rising Volt Tacklers' mission to retrieve the Six Heroes, pivoting to explore the fallout from the Strong Sphere's appearance at Naranja Academy. It narrows the lens to personal stakes and ethical consequences, deepening the show's thematic concerns about power and integrity. The episode directly sets up the next chapter, where the team escalates their efforts to counter the device's influence and its broader threat to their overarching mission.
