Episode Context

Sitting at episode 117 of 192, this comes right after May's Pacifidlog Contest appearance and functions as a transitional chapter between competition arcs. It notably introduces Munchlax, a character who will become a recurring presence going forward. The episode bridges the gap toward the Hoenn Grand Festival and Ash's continued push for the Hoenn League, keeping the group's journey moving while giving the cast room to breathe.
