Episode 12 is the Elmina episode we didn't know we needed. We've seen her as the perfect princess, but now we see the cost of that perfection. The pressure to be flawless, to never make a mistake, to earn the approval of a parent who's never satisfied it's a devastatingly relatable theme. Elmina's panic attack in the dance challenge is one of the most emotionally raw moments in the series. wow nice episode.
We get to see Heaven this time. Home of Elmina. Heaven is so good, with a floating castle and everything. I laughed so hard when Glenda followed Elmina, but she just fell. Every test challenges them in different ways, which makes me engrossed in every test they take. We get to see why Elmina is acting that way. She has so much pressure since she was just a kid. I don't understand why some parents do that. Those words have been engraved on her already. It's such a sad childhood she have.
Elmina's backstory is sad imho. Her father isn't a good father so I understand that Elmina has that trauma because of him. At least Yucie, Glenda and Cocoloo are there to be her friends and even taught her something new about herself.
