This fight is about humans vs. parasites, the true climax of the entire series. It’s a perfect mix of final battle and character resolution. The decision he makes at the end defines him as human.

Honestly, I expected pure action in this final fight with Gotou as the series gets closer to the end. But I think the way the author made it into something more, with realizations that can be applied to real life, is genius! Really unexpected yet wholesome.
