Synopsis
Talented, beautiful, and hiding something that could end her career overnight, rising pop idol Kaori Shiina carries a secret that only her manager and lover Yuko knows — she's intersex. That's the setup, and it's a lot more layered than you'd expect from a two-episode OVA out of 1996. When a rival singer named Saki starts poking around and gets closer to the truth, the whole thing turns into a tense little drama about identity, exposure, and what people will do to protect someone they care about — wrapped inside the cutthroat world of the Japanese idol industry. The erotic content is definitely there, this is hentai after all, but the character dynamics actually have some weight to them. Saki and Yuko have history, Kaori is caught in the middle, and the pressure of fame makes everything feel more fragile. It's produced by AIC, adapted from manga, and honestly handles its subject matter with more thoughtfulness than you'd expect for the era. If you've watched things like Cream Lemon or Bible Black and appreciated when adult anime bothered to have a real story underneath, this scratches a similar itch. It's short, it moves fast, and the central secret gives it genuine tension rather than just being set dressing. Worth the two episodes if you're curious.
