Progress-wise, this episode doesn't get a lot done. It's mostly focused on Gil and what made him become the man he is today, which works really good for developing his character and motivations.

It was actually nice to see Gilbert’s pov. This is mostly just a flashback but it’s also entertaining and there’s a lot of important info that is connected to the main plot. The background music also makes everything dramatic and I kinda like how it gives a tense vibe. And the end triggers my curiosity again.
