EPISODE REVIEWS

It's a boring episode with nothing but dialogue scenes and no action or suspense.

Hmm, it was okay just so-so. It wasn’t boring, I just didn’t like it that much because there wasn’t any action yet. Maybe I was just getting a bit impatient and expecting a good fight scene in the first episode.

Episode Context

As the Season 2 premiere, 'The Dawn of Despair' serves as a narrative bridge between the climactic confrontations of Season 1 and the new threats to come, reestablishing the geopolitical stakes across multiple factions. It lays essential groundwork for the season's direction, with subsequent episodes shifting focus toward the Lizardmen tribes and entirely new conflicts. This is setup by design, an episode that prioritizes context over action to give the next twelve episodes room to escalate.
