Tamaki thinking of himself as Haruhi's father figure while having those fantasies is the funniest contradiction in this show. That exploding elephant confetti... what did it mean by this? The three reacting identically at the end was hilarious. Oh no, a potential rival appears.

This is indeed a refreshing episode. Another well-known VA of Misuzu, Cho, the voice of Brook. The tension was quite intense between Hitachiin Twins and Tamaki. The visuals were cinematic at the countryside, with the music playing at the BG. And budding potential love interests.

This episode felt really laid-back, and it was nice seeing everyone spend time together outside of school. I really love Tamaki, Kaoru, and Hikaru's rivalry with each other, it makes everything so much fun and amusing to watch.

Episode Context

Sitting at the season's midpoint, episode 15 pivots from the media-focused antics of 'Covering the Famous Host Club!' into a summer break arc that shifts attention toward the hosts' personal dynamics and deeper bonds. The Karuizawa setting establishes the groundwork for 'Operation Haruhi and Hikaru's First Date!', signaling the series' gradual turn toward more relationship-driven storytelling in its back half. This is where the show starts investing in emotional payoffs it's been building since the early episodes.
