๐ SYNOPSIS
"Orushipe Suopu," meaning "storytelling of this place" in the Ainu language, is a collection of short animated films produced annually since 2012. These films, a collaboration between the Foundation for Research and Promotion of Ainu Culture (FRPAC) and various directors from Studio Rocca, are set within the Ainu land and culture, specifically in the region of Hokkaido, formerly known as Ezochi. The films are designed to be shown at museums, schools, and film festivals, including "The New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival," which is celebrating Hokkaido's 150th anniversary. The films are available on the official YouTube channel with various audio and subtitle options, released roughly a year after their initial showcase, and are also available on DVD. The series focuses on sharing Ainu stories.
