Synopsis
Tojo runs the Trident Foundation — an organization with its hands in every dark corner of the criminal underworld — and sets everything in motion the moment he crosses paths with Rei-Lan. Their first encounter is charged with power and manipulation, and it leaves a mark that doesn't fade. Fast forward four years, and Rei-Lan is back, but this time she's not playing the same role. Now she's on the other side of that power dynamic, and the question is whether revenge can survive the weight of a complicated history. This 1997 OVA from Triple X leans hard into crime-thriller territory, using the underworld setting as a backdrop for a story that's really about control — who has it, who wants it back, and what happens when the lines blur. It's not subtle, but it doesn't pretend to be. The relationship between Rei-Lan and Tojo carries genuine tension because neither of them fits a simple role. If you've watched something like Bible Black Origins or Dark Shell: Lust in the Cage and appreciated how those titles wrap adult content inside a story with actual stakes and psychological friction, this sits in similar territory. Kawarazaki-ke no Ichizoku 2 also shares that same interest in complicated dynamics between characters who can't quite walk away from each other. It's a single episode, so the setup and the confrontation land close together. Worth a watch if crime-driven adult anime with a revenge angle is your thing.
