The nonlinear story telling of Orb is amazing. It's insane to think the story revolve around few humans talking with each other, solely relying on dialogue alone to create tension. That said this episode is more of a setup.

Sitting at roughly one-third of the 25-episode season, Episode 8 deepens the groundwork laid in Episode 7, which introduced Jolenta's encounters with discrimination and Badeni's resource struggles in pursuit of heliocentrism. This installment expands on those personal and ideological tensions, building toward Episode 9's shift to Count Piast's commitment to proving geocentrism, setting up a direct ideological collision that will likely define the next stretch of the series.
