And so the tables turn, for profit and for control. What a power move from Antoni, completely undermine his father's and Nowak work, without even having to move anything, and if succeed, he would profit and be the person that brings the church back into popularity.

The gambit for the truth. The pacing for this episode was quite slow. The fighting scenes at the start were pretty intense and Schmidt was one of the hero for this final arc. The clashing of both mercenaries insights were profound yet not convinced with Antoni's sudden shift.

Amazing how Hubert's words still echo to present "A life without fear is one without essence", mirroring Schmitt, very lovely gosh. A very sad episode though. Some characters just don't deserve sympathy seriously. I appreciated the pacing, it added to making it an emotional ep.

The twists in the search for the manuscript are wild. Just when you think they’re safe, the world pushes back. The resilience of the human spirit is the real star of the show here.

This episode is really a must watch, i love how they made it feel. Nowak actually not understanding why he did what he did was so peak, and the cherry on top of getting his beliefs deconstructed by his daughters killer is extra peak.

I feel the battle between Heretic Liberation Front and the Inquisition is a little too short for its build up. Meanwhile we also see Novak's realization about heliocentrism as it is might not be a blasphemy against the church.

The battle was too fast in my opinion, as I thought this will be a big battle of sort. But the dialogue after was something else. It was foreshadowed from the early episode about the previous bishop's background, so it's no surprise that Antoni has different intrepertation.

Nowak remembering the names of all the men he's killed meant their deaths did actually impact him greatly for real. That's sorrowful because he is remembering the men who were executed under his watch. Especially for a kid like Rafal, who had so many years ahead of him to live.

Nowak walking in all "I spent my LIFE hunting this" only to hear "actually heliocentrism was never banned lol"???? The way his entire existence crumbled in real time. All those deaths. All that torture. All for one bitter bishop's personal grudge. THE AUDACITY.

Confrontation feels rushed, honestly. After all that build-up, the clash is over quickly. Some good moments, but you're left wanting more. They spent 10 episodes on setup and 20 minutes on payoff? Feels unbalanced and kinda disappointing. 😐
