Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For years, Mahiro Oyama has been holed up in his room, spending his days playing erotic visual novels while his genius little sister Mihari watches him waste away. Her solution? Slip him an experimental drug that turns him into a girl. Not metaphorically, he wakes up as a small, biological female. The premise sounds wild, and it is, but the show leans into it with such a warm, comedic tone that it just works. Most of the humor comes from Mahiro reluctantly adapting to life as a girl: things like going to middle school, making friends for the first time, and slowly realizing that maybe leaving his room wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to him. The sibling dynamic between Mahiro and Mihari carries the whole thing, with Mihari being equal parts caring sister and mad scientist observing her test subject. If you liked the body-swap chaos of Your Name or the gender-bender comedy of Ranma ½, this is in that neighborhood but with a cozy slice-of-life feel closer to Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl. Studio Bind handled the animation, and they went way harder than they needed to for a 12-episode comedy; the character animation is genuinely impressive and full of personality. It's a lighthearted, funny show about identity and growth that sneaks up on you with how endearing it becomes.

I love anime
What a way to end the season! Mahiro finally choosing who he wants to be shows such a character development. The animation is beautiful with music complimenting it well. If you want to watch unique, wholesome anime with smooth pacing, then this is for you!!
OMG! This episode is heartwarming🥰. I like how Mahiro trying to get know about the meaning of friendship. That surprise from Mahiro's sister and his friends are so adorable! The classroom scenes are funny and Mahiro flexing his "new" look to the class is peak attitude😎
Mahiro learning some things about female body shows how he slowly adapting to his new body. The second half of the episode is such an awkward yet funny. I feel really bad those two boys!! They always end up doing something that makes Mahiro uncomforting😂
This episode is warm and pure wholesome. I like how Mahiro was enjoying small moments even though he was bit of awkward. That scene at Kaede's apartment is so hilarious. Totally it's chaotic and heartwarming episode.
what an excellent way to end this unique yet delightful series that tackled the troubles of being lost in life and reforming yourself. I truly enjoyed all the characters as a whole and adored the last scene with Mahiro and Mihari.
Really heartwarming episode, I completely loved when Mahiru and Mahiro were reading one another's horoscope! My friend Nemu responded to something! I really appreciate how expressive they portrayed her in this show.
A fresh semester and Valentine's Day occur in the same episode! That’s fashionable. On that note, I sort of like their winter outfits. This episode had a lot of energy, and I believe it was an enjoyable way to kick off the New Year.
Charming episode of New Year's festivities. They even dressed the cast in kimonos, and we received plenty of popcorn-worthy entertainment from this. Many memories were created with those pictures!
Damn, whoever animated this episode did an amazing job; the facial expressions are next level. The ending had me laughing so hard, "huh, the pillow flipper has struck again," that line really cracked me up.
It's wonderful to witness Mahiro hanging out with friends and encountering strange situations. The conversation about video games with the two boys was funny, and the test mess-up was as well. The ratio of wholesomeness to lewdness is steadily gaining in favor of wholesomeness.
The food scene was funny, as if they were aware of the audience's expectations. It's also entertaining how Mahiro manages to be the focus of attention. like the chemistry that Mahiro has with Momiji and her friends. this episode was quite wholesome and heartwarming.
I loved the facial expressions and the animation. An enjoyable series, with the perfect mix of wholesome and ecchi. Simply seeing Mahiro emerge from his shell i soo cute.
It was a ok episode, but I loved the soundtrack the most, while I also found it enjoyable to watch Mahiro grow as an adorable character. Amazed by how effectively this adaptation strikes a balance between innocence and loli depravity.
this Kaede girl is quite intense haha. Pretty much the most open-minded character I've encountered and isn't shy about teasing Mahiro. The wholesomeness of the series increases as it progresses. The art on the Space titantic they watched was awesome I laughed a crack so hard.
Drugging your sibling in that manner is likely illegal, the kind of weird shots are questionable, and although the art style isn't my preference, the backgrounds are impressive and the animation is pretty neat as well.
the older sister character is somewhat bit sus. The opening theme was good, but I personally prefer the ending theme even more! The ending theme was quite catchy, unique in certain ways, and the animation is visually appealing to watch.
Mahiro's reactions to the his chaotic group is soo wholesome to watch!! It's chaotic but ended with some tender, sweet moments ❤. Asahi is such a high-energy girl⚡
The episode is chaotic at the first but ended in a sweet way! Mahiro's new "girl" gang is full of energy and always supporting to each other. That baking lessons is my favourite moments from the episode! I like Mihari's reaction at the end for something she wasn't expecting 🥰
This episode really balances the chaos and the cute moments. I laughed, I groaned, and I actually smiled at some of the wholesome stuff. The pacing keeps me hooked.
