EPISODE REVIEWS

Gasa

The House of Evolution thought they had the ultimate lifeform with Carnage Kabuto, but the true horror was Saitama realizing he missed the Saturday supermarket sale. Madhouse is flexing their budget on this episode.

The contrast between serious villain buildup and effortless resolution creates the episode’s strongest humor.

Episode Context

Coming off episode two's establishment of the Saitama-Genos dynamic, this episode puts their new partnership to a real test against a genuine threat organization, deepening their mentor-student relationship through action rather than dialogue. It's the first substantial villain encounter that explores why Saitama is the way he is, laying thematic groundwork the rest of the season will build on. The next episode, 'The Modern Ninja,' expands the world further by introducing additional heroes and threats beyond Saitama's immediate orbit.
