One Punch Man Episode 1
⚡ ALL REVIEWS
An absolute masterclass from episode one! In just twenty minutes, everything is already perfectly executed. The humor is spot-on—super well-balanced and hits the mark every single time. What really changes the game is that the main character is already insanely overpowere.
Action-packed. This has some of the best animation not just in anime, but in media generally. Being from Studio Madhouse, I expected no less. The animation is fluid, and I love the urban setting. It has daily city life but populates it with superpowered people. MC too stronk.
Episode 1 brilliantly subverts superhero tropes by introducing Saitama as an already overpowered hero, turning action into comedy. Madhouse pairs explosive animation with deadpan humor, making the premiere instantly distinctive.
Fast paced, hilariously self critical and an absolute fun watch altogether! One punch man brings to life a world full of monsters and heroes while putting the most unassuming character in anime as the almighty Saitama. Great animation, hilarious dialogues and slick comic timing!
Saitama has to be most unique superhero I have every seen. I am always excited to see what villains our hero has to face.
A 20-second hook rule is here! Fast-paced episode you need to watch. Hyped-up power punches wrecked monsters are real. Here, Saitama takes the center power stage. A 10/10 watch
This honestly feels like a great compilation of passion project from many animator. A really breathtaking Fight scenes blink and you missed it, of course.. It ended in a one punch. A perfectly balanced comedy and fight anime. 10/10
The superhero genre on its head by introducing Saitama—a hero so powerful that victory brings boredom instead of glory. The opening dream sequence teases a brutal, high-stakes battle, only to reveal the joke.
Really liked the fact that the character is unconventionally attractive but still likable.
One Punch Man's pilot episode quickly establish the show's core concept. It features a high-quality animation that sets the stage for a unique, action-comedy experience. It hooks both action fans and comedy lovers while promising something different from the usual hero’s journey.
It was honestly such an exciting ride. Starts with a fun, action-packed episode that blends comedy and fights perfectly. The animation looks great, pacing is fast, and the hero’s ridiculous strength makes everything entertaining. It instantly hooks you and feels very binge-worthy
An energetic opener that introduces an overpowered hero whose strength creates an unexpected personal dilemma. Fast pacing, strong visual style, and clear comedic tone establish the premise quickly while highlighting the protagonist’s situation and the series’ unique concept.
Superb opening and an episode that truly delivers on spectacle! The energy is jaw‑dropping, pulling viewers into a whirlwind of hype and intensity. The dazzling action sequences ignite the childhood dream of superpowers and stepping into the role of a hero.
Episode 1 wastes no time announcing what kind of hero Saitama is, a hero who ends every fight instantly out of boredom. It’s less about action and more about the absurdity of power ... wrapped in spectacular animation. Also chef kiss.
One Punch Man flips superhero tropes instantly—huge monster, dramatic buildup, then one punch ends it. Saitama is absurdly strong yet bored and relatable. Funny, fast, and a clever, memorable start.
This anime takes a different approach compared to most series that start with a weak protagonist who grows stronger. One Punch Man begins with an overpowered main character who defeats opponents in a single punch, making it feel fresh and fun.
What a way to start an amazing anime. Season 1 really did the manga amazingly. First episode in, and it already shows the entire premise of the show. Just one guy paving his way with a single punch. You'd think it's a boring premise, but this show says otherwise.
