Garou's the man! What great timing. The interactions between Saitama and his little group are hilarious. Genos being cranky with everyone but him and Kusena made me laugh. It was a little slow, but overall a good episode that got me hyped for the next one!

A bit of a comeback with this episode! Animation still stays very mediocre although some comedic respite and Garou action keeps it interesting. There is some build up but so far its been pretty flat. Hoping for some redemption.

This episode is mostly set up for things and events to come; everyone is getting ready for what’s coming. Garou finally starts moving again, which adds some tension. It’s a bit slow, but you can feel things building. Not exciting yet, but it’s getting there. Hope so it is.

This episode is a DIFFICULT one to rate. On one hand, Garou's comeback is genuinely exciting, the distrust among heroes is interesting, and the hotpot scene is classic OPM humor. If you're here for Saitama and the animation... you'll be disappointed.

Garo has returned and is more powerful than before and dependable enough to take charge, he’s the person I can rely on to be my hero, even though he's gonna deny at all cost Drawings are more powerful, yet they didn't devolve into no animation. Pacing is also good again.

Bang, Genos, and other heroes face growing pressure as the environment tightens around them. Fast pacing and confined settings create urgency, pushing the story toward a major turning point.

Tatsumaki's art felt cheap. Garou's blue filter was... okay. Revenge plot's satisfaction saves it. Above average entertainment? Maybe.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the one-third mark of Season 3, 'Counterattack Signal' follows the combat-heavy 'Organism Limits' and deliberately redirects momentum toward preparation and planning — the calm before a much larger storm. The heroes' strategic groundwork laid here feeds directly into the next episode, 'Monster King,' where those plans collide with escalating monster threats. This is the connective tissue episode that transforms scattered hero efforts into a unified offensive, making it essential viewing for understanding the payoffs ahead.
