EPISODE REVIEWS

I almost lost it when Yamato finally said the name Ace and the flashback started because seeing them together like that was such a huge shock for a random Tuesday

Episode Context

Episode 991 builds directly on Episode 990's reveal of Kaido's offspring, pivoting from shock to exploration as Luffy and Yamato's dynamic takes center stage amid the Onigashima raid. It serves as a critical bridge episode, shifting focus from large-scale battlefield chaos to a more intimate character encounter that will define alliances going forward. Subsequent episodes dig deeper into Yamato's motivations and backstory, making this the essential entry point for one of the raid's most consequential relationships.
