EPISODE REVIEWS

Yasuie’s sacrifice was already heartbreaking, but my blood absolutely boiled when they revealed the true reason for all the forced laughter. Seriously, Orochi is beyond cruel for trapping the citizens of Ebisu Town in such a twisted, permanent joke, it makes me sick just thinking about it.

Episode Context

Coming directly off the fallout from the Straw Hats' attempt to save Tonoyasu in Episode 939, this episode shifts into an emotionally critical turning point for the Wano arc by exposing the true cost of the SMILE fruits on innocent civilians. It deepens Zoro's personal investment in Wano's liberation and strengthens the thematic foundation for the rebellion ahead. The revelations here serve as fuel for the escalating conflict that will define the arc's next phase.
