Episode Context

Coming directly off Episode 878's bombshell reveal of Luffy as the Fifth Emperor, this episode serves as a crucial transition point from the Whole Cake Island arc into the Reverie arc. It functions as a bridge episode, gathering allied characters from across previous arcs and positioning them for the political powder keg that the Reverie represents. The groundwork laid here, the alliances, the reactions, the converging factions, directly feeds into the high-stakes diplomatic and personal conflicts ahead.
